ARTY (K)NICKERS

ARTY (K)NICKERS
At some un-goldly hour on Thursday morning, I'm catching a train to Paris, but I didn't want to leave these shores without contributing something to Marsha Jorgensen's commendable Stop Arts Piracy campaign Flickr group. As I have personal experience of my work, ideas and genealogical research being nicked or re-attributed as someone else's, I'm very happy to support this cause.
By the way, I'll taking my laptop with me on holiday, so will be checking in on you all and doing a little light blogging, but probably over at my other messier, more random place, where I am...

  6. Check out my latest post, Lumi. Thank you so much for the award you gave me! It took me a few days to pass it along because I really wanted to do it properly. I thought it was so kind of you to explain why you recognized each of your recipients, and I wanted to do the same. You are unbelievable, and your friendship has touched me deeply. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,

    Love,
    Alberta

  8. I think we've all probably experienced that theft at some point. When I was doing my undergrad work, I started tearing into my canvases and then sewing them, and a day later another student presented a torn/sewn canvas at critique, not that I had invented a new technique or anything, it was just that it was relevant to what I was working on and unrelated to their work!!

  12. what a sad thing to have happen to any artist ... if it happens to me I don't want to know about it. Maybe the sadder bit it that there are people with absolutely NO imagination of their own - what a horrible existence!
