Winter Walking 07: Through a Lens Dimly

My favourite toy of the moment is Hipstamatic: a lovely little iPhone App that simulates the experience of taking photographs with a selection if vintage plastic cameras, flashes and films, right down to a dodgy viewfinder, lens that you have to wipe and the wait for the flash to warm up. Also as in the Olden Days, you can barely see the subjects that you are shooting and this adds an exhilharating element of chance to the process of image-making. For yesterday's walk, I chose one lens, one film and played around with several "flashes". Here are some of the resulting images:

And here are two of the collages that I have made with photographs taken on Walk 7, utilizing a variety of iPhone Apps:

OMG! I love these soo much. They look like encaustic photographs, which is something I'm dabbling with at the moment.
I love my twin lens camera, but I haven't quite managed to achieve the look I want yet. This is it. Fabulous.
